Learning, sharing and developing calligraphy skills is important to me, and the whole subject is one I find endlessly interesting.

I hold the Diplomas in Calligraphy (Foundation & Intermediate [Distinction]) and the CLAS  Certificate of Skills in 'Teaching Calligraphy'.             I completed further certificated courses in Copperplate and Heraldry  and Design.
I have been an accredited tutor with the Calligraphy & Lettering Arts Society since 2018, and teach some of their LiveOnline courses

Graduating from the three year Advanced Training Scheme in 2020 run by the Society of Scribes & Illuminators helped hone my own individual calligraphic style, and I continue  developing my skills. I am currently the acting Honorary Secretary for the SSI

I was delighted that my work was awarded the Peter Esselmont Prize for Calligraphy & Illumination in 2020 by the Worshipful Company of Scriveners.
I have been a winner twice in the international Graceful Envelope contest run by the Washington Calligraphers Guild

Teaching calligraphy is something I do regularly in adult education classes and other groups and I enjoy helping people learn via one to one lessons, group workshops, Summer Schools and remotely on Zoom.

As well as being an active member of the two main UK calligraphy organisations, I also belong to the South London Lettering Association, Letter Exchange and the Barnet Guild of Artists.

I regularly accept commissions for Commission certificates, family trees, memorial books and other calligraphic work.  Clients include the Greater London Lieutenancy, The Cystic Fibrosis Trust, North London Hospice, British Psychoanalytical Society, Barnet Museum and the Worshipful Company of Farriers.

I have worked with several authors and poets and I have books of my own published and on sale.  My work has been exhibited in several national calligraphy shows and travelling exhibitions (see Show & Tell page!)

I'm always interested to discuss ideas for other projects....
